A wedding experience made by everyone.

Tie The Knot is a unique way to bring your guests into the heart of your wedding day.

Throughout your dinner or reception, a macramé wall hanging is created by the people who are there to celebrate with you. Guests can join in whenever they wish, adding a few simple knots before returning to the celebrations.

There is no set workshop time and no need to gather everyone together. Guests simply take part when the moment feels right.

I will be there throughout the experience to guide anyone who would like to participate and look after the piece as it grows.

It is a simple, creative moment that gives your guests something meaningful to do, while creating something that will stay with you long after the day is over.

Once the celebration is over, I take the wall hanging back to my studio, where I carefully finish the piece by hand and bring it to life as a lasting keepsake of your weeding day.

The wall hanging

The wall hanging is designed especially for your wedding and becomes a little record of the people who shared the day with you.

Each guest contributes a few simple knots. No previous experience is needed – I will guide everyone through what to do, so that taking part feels easy and enjoyable.

Not everyone needs to take part. Some guests may add knots early in the evening, others later on, and some may simply enjoy watching the piece take shape.

And if a few knots are still needed after the wedding, that’s perfectly fine. I will complete them in my studio as I finish the piece.

The finished piece is unique to your wedding because it has been created by the people who were there.

It is not just a decoration.

It is a reminder of a day, a place, and all the people who helped male it special.

How it works?

From your wedding day to a keepsake you can treasure.

Before the day
We talk through your wedding, your plans and the kind of wall hanging you would like. I prepare the piece, materials and everything needed for your guests to take part.

During the celebration
I arrive at the agreed time and set everything up and ready for your guests.

The experience usually takes place during dinner or the reception and lasts around 3-4 hours. There is no formal workshop to attend. Guests can simply come and take part whenever they wish, learning a few simple knots with my guidance before returning to enjoy the celebrations.

I guide your guests through the knots and look after the process, so you can simply enjoy your day.

After the wedding
Once the celebration is over, I take the wall hanging back to my studio.

I carefully finish the piece by hand, making sure that the different sections created throughout the day become one beautiful finished wall hanging.

Your completed piece is then ready to return home with you – a handmade reminder of the people who shared your wedding day.

All materials needed for up to 50 participating guests
My presence and guidance throughout the experience for approximately 3-4 hours
Set-up and pack-up
Finishing the wall hanging by hand after your wedding
Collection from my studio once completed

Pricing

From £550.

Every “Tie The Knot” Experience is created around your wedding, so pricing is tailored to your plans.

Prices start from £550, including materials for up to 50 participating guests, preparation, my time at your wedding, finishing the wall hanging in my studio and mileage withing usual travel area.

The final price may vary depending on:

• the number of guests taking part
• the size and design of the wall hanging
• the location of your wedding
• travel requirements
• any additional bespoke elements
