These Terms & Conditions apply to products, workshops, creative experiences and other services provided by Stephanie Stafrach.
Please read them carefully before placing an order or making a booking. By purchasing a product or confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.
1. About Stephanie Stafrach
Stephanie Stafrach is an independent crochet and macramé artist and tutor based in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, United Kingdom.
I offer handmade crochet and macramé pieces, regular and private workshops, bespoke creative services and collaborative experiences, including the Tie the Knot Experience.

2. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£).
Any additional costs, such as delivery, travel, venue hire or additional materials, will be made clear before you confirm your order or booking.
Payment methods available will be displayed during checkout or communicated when arranging a private or bespoke service.
3. Regular workshops
Regular workshops are scheduled sessions available to book individually.
The workshop description will specify the date, location, approximate duration, price, what is included and any particular requirements.
Payment is required in full at the time of booking.
If you need to cancel your place, you may request a refund up to 14 days before the workshop.
After this point, the booking is non-refundable under my voluntary cancellation policy, but you may transfer your place to another person. Please contact me before doing so.
These terms do not limit any cancellation rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
If I need to cancel a workshop, you will be offered either:
- a place on an alternative suitable date; or
- a full refund.
The choice will be yours.
4. Private workshops
Private workshops are created around you and your group and may take place at your home, an agreed venue or another suitable location.
Payment is required in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The price will be based on the workshop agreed, duration, number of participants, materials and location.
Where applicable, a certain amount of travel may be included in the quoted price. Any additional travel costs will always be communicated before you confirm your booking.
If requested, I may also help you find a suitable venue. Any venue hire costs will be discussed and agreed before booking.
Cancellation
You may cancel your private workshop and receive a refund if you notify me at least 14 days before the agreed workshop date.
Any rights you have under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.
Changing your date
You may request to move your workshop to another date at least 14 days before the original workshop date.
The new date will be subject to availability.
Requests made less than 14 days before the workshop will be considered where possible, but I cannot guarantee that a change will be possible. Any reasonable costs already incurred may need to be taken into account.
Number of participants
The booking price is based on the number of participants agreed at the time of booking.
If fewer people attend on the day, the original booking price will still apply.
Please contact me in advance if you would like to add participants. I will confirm whether this is possible and whether there will be an additional charge.
Cancellation by me
If I am unable to deliver your workshop, you will be offered the choice of:
- moving your booking to another suitable date; or
- receiving a full refund for the workshop I am unable to provide.
5. Tie the Knot Experience
The Tie the Knot Experience is a bespoke collaborative wedding experience and each booking is individually planned.
Your quotation will specify what is included, such as materials, preparation, my attendance at your wedding or event, travel, studio finishing and any agreed collection or delivery arrangements.
Booking and payment
A 30% booking payment is required to secure your date.
The remaining 70% is due four weeks before your wedding or event.
Your date is not secured until the initial payment has been received.
Changes
Please let me know as soon as possible if the date, venue, number of guests or other significant details of your event change.
If you need to move your wedding or event, I will make reasonable efforts to transfer your booking to the new date, subject to my availability.
Any additional costs resulting from a change, such as additional travel, will be discussed with you before the change is confirmed.
Cancellation
Because Tie the Knot is individually prepared and a date is reserved specifically for your event, cancellation may result in reasonable costs being retained to reflect work already completed, materials purchased and other losses directly connected with your booking.
Any amount retained will take account of the circumstances and costs actually incurred rather than operating as an automatic penalty.
I will explain any applicable cancellation amount clearly.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
This approach is intentional: UK guidance warns businesses against excessive cancellation charges and automatic loss of all upfront payments.
The finished wall hanging
Tie the Knot is collaborative by nature, so individual guest contributions will naturally vary.
I will be present to guide participants during the agreed period. Participation by guests is voluntary.
Following the event, I may complete, refine and finish the piece in my studio as necessary to create the agreed finished wall hanging.
Collection or delivery arrangements and any associated costs will be agreed with you.
6. Handmade products
My handmade collections may include ready-made and made-to-order crochet and macramé pieces.
Because each piece is made by hand, small variations in colour, size, texture, positioning or finish may occur. These are part of the character of handmade work and do not constitute a fault where the product otherwise matches its description.
I make every reasonable effort to represent products accurately in photographs and descriptions. Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen or device.
Payment is required in full when an order is placed.
7. Made-to-order products
Some standard products may be made after you place your order.
The estimated making time will be stated on the individual product page.
Unless specifically personalised for you, a product does not automatically become a bespoke product simply because it is made after your order.
Where a delivery period different from the usual statutory period is necessary, this will be made clear and agreed with you. GOV.UK states that goods should ordinarily be delivered within 30 days unless another timeframe has been agreed.
8. Bespoke and personalised pieces
Bespoke and personalised pieces are created specifically for you.
Before work begins, we will agree the design or brief, price and estimated timescale.
For smaller bespoke projects, payment will normally be required in full before work begins.
For larger projects, I may instead agree a deposit and payment schedule with you. This will be communicated before you commit to the order.
Please check carefully any names, dates, wording, colours, measurements or other information you provide.
Once work has begun, changes may not always be possible. Where a requested change can be made but involves additional work or materials, I will tell you about any additional cost before proceeding.
Different statutory cancellation rules can apply to goods made to a consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. Your rights concerning faulty goods or goods that do not conform to the contract remain unaffected.
9. Delivery and collection
I currently sell physical products primarily within the United Kingdom.
Available delivery methods and their costs will be displayed before checkout or agreed with you for a bespoke order.
Delivery is charged separately unless expressly stated otherwise.
For made-to-order and bespoke pieces, the estimated making time will be communicated separately from the delivery time.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as reasonably possible. Where possible, please include photographs of the item and its packaging so that I can investigate and arrange an appropriate solution.
10. Returns and refunds for products
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
For eligible standard products purchased online, you generally have the right to cancel within 14 days after receiving your goods.
Please email stephanie.stafrach@gmail.com if you wish to cancel and return an eligible order.
For a change-of-mind return, you will normally be responsible for the cost of returning the product.
The item should be returned with reasonable care.
Different cancellation rules apply to certain products, including goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
If an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fails to meet your statutory rights, please contact me so that I can resolve the problem appropriately.
11. Workshop materials, accessibility and refreshments
Materials and equipment included in a workshop will be stated in the workshop description or agreed before a private booking.
Please follow reasonable instructions provided during workshops, particularly regarding the use of tools and materials.
If you have accessibility requirements, please contact me before booking so that we can discuss what arrangements may be possible.
Where refreshments are provided, please tell me in advance about relevant dietary requirements or allergies.
I cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment unless this has specifically been agreed.
12. Photography and video
Photographs or videos may occasionally be taken during workshops and events.
Where I intend to use identifiable images of participants for my portfolio, website, social media or other promotional purposes, appropriate permission will be sought where required.
You are under no obligation to agree to promotional photography, and choosing not to give permission will not prevent you from participating.
Particular care will be taken where identifiable children appear in photographs.
Participants are also asked to respect the privacy of others when taking or sharing their own photographs.
13. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, original photographs, written content, patterns, teaching materials, designs and other original material created by Stephanie Stafrach remain my intellectual property.
They may not be reproduced, sold, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.
Purchasing a product or attending a workshop does not transfer intellectual property rights in my original designs, patterns or teaching materials.
14. My responsibility to you
I will provide my services with reasonable care and skill and supply products in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
I will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when our contract was entered into, subject always to your statutory rights.
15. Circumstances outside my reasonable control
Occasionally, events outside my reasonable control may affect a workshop, event, delivery or service.
If this happens, I will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect on your booking or order.
Your applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.
16. Third-party websites
My website may contain links to websites operated by third parties.
I am not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of those websites. Please review their own terms and privacy information when visiting them.
17. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in these terms removes any rights you may have as a consumer regarding where you are legally entitled to bring a claim.
18. Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to my business, services or legal requirements.
The current version will be published on my website with its latest update date.
